Curry Leaf Chutney:

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup fresh curry leaves

  • 2-3 green chilies

  • 1/2 cup grated coconut

  • 1 tablespoon chana dal (split chickpeas), roasted or lightly toasted on a dry pan

  • Salt to taste

Directions:
  • In a food processor, combine all the ingredients and blend into a smooth paste. If using a blender, add water as needed to adjust the consistency and allow the blender to blend. you can also add 1/4 cup tablespoon mustard oil instead of water, for a more concentrated chutney

  • Serve this flavorful chutney as a side accompaniment to anything, and you can even use it as a dip/spread with your roti, pitta bread, sourdough or whole wheat or gluten free breads/toasts


Curry Leaf Hair Oil:

Ingredients:
  • Handful of curry leaves

  • 1/2 cup sustainably sourced coconut oil

Directions:
  • In a pan, heat coconut oil on low heat and add curry leaves. If using fresh leaves, be aware of the splutter. Stand back and take care.

  • Allow the leaves to crisp up and infuse their essence into the oil. Then switch off heat and remove oil into a dish so they don't burn.

  • Let the oil cool down and strain out the leaves.

  • Store in an airtight glass jar, in a cool place away from light.

  • Massage this oil into your scalp regularly to promote hair growth and strengthen hair follicles.


Curry Leaf Tea:

Ingredients:

10-12 fresh curry leaves

1 cup water

Honey (optional)

Directions:

Boil water and add curry leaves.

Let it simmer for 5-7 minutes.

Strain the tea, add honey if desired, and enjoy this aromatic and health-boosting drink.


Curry Leaf Face Mask:

Ingredients:
  • Handful of fresh curry leaves

  • 1 tablespoon yogurt

  • 1 teaspoon honey

Directions:
  • Blend the curry leaves with yogurt and honey to form a smooth paste.

  • Apply the mask to your face, leave it on for 15-20 minutes, then rinse off with warm water for glowing skin.
